MONTREAL, Quebec, September 15, 2026 -mSIGMA-HR today becomes Sigmia, introducing a new identity as the Canadian technology company enters the next stage of its development.

The change does not mark the launch of a new company or a new product. It reflects more than three decades of evolution in building Human Capital Management technology for mid-sized and large employers managing demanding workforce environments.

“Our previous name represented an important part of our history, but it no longer reflects the full company we have become,” said Patrice Poirier, Founder and President of Sigmia. “We wanted one identity that better represents the breadth of our technology, our capacity to innovate and where we intend to go next.”

The Sigmia name also creates a single identity across the company’s markets, replacing the need to alternate between “RH” and “HR.”

The “i” represents five dimensions of the company’s evolution: intelligence, integration, innovation, impact and international ambition.

Built for demanding workforce environments

Sigmia connects HR data, business rules, payroll and workforce operations in an integrated environment designed for organizations whose needs extend beyond standard HR processes.

Its capabilities span core administration, workforce management, talent, health and safety, and labour and employee relations.

The technology is built to support realities such as multiple entities and locations, collective agreements, diverse workforce groups, complex schedules, payroll rules and highly regulated operating environments.

Extensive no-code configurability allows teams to adapt screens, workflows, business rules and data structures without relying on custom development for every change.

This combination of functional depth and adaptability is intended to give organizations a strong Canadian alternative to larger international HCM platforms.

AI embedded in the work

Artificial intelligence is increasingly embedded across Sigmia’s processes rather than being limited to a standalone assistant or isolated features.

It helps teams structure information, reduce repetitive work, accelerate selected processes and support better decision-making.

Its use is grounded in structured data, clear business rules and governed processes. AI capabilities operate within each client’s security and access framework and are designed to support human judgment rather than replace it.

A broader growth strategy

The Sigmia launch supports a five-year strategy focused on strengthening the company’s position in its home market, expanding further across the country and in France, and gradually developing opportunities in additional international markets.

That next stage builds on more than 30 years of experience and a track record of developing technology for organizations that require functional depth, adaptability and an understanding of local operating realities.

“We are not entering the market with a new or untested product,” Poirier said. “We are bringing proven technology, decades of experience and a different approach to enterprise HCM — one that combines depth, intelligence and adaptability.”

Sigmia is also launching its new website today at www.sigmia.com.
