MONTREAL, Quebec, September 15th, 2026 – SIGMA-HR announces that it has become Sigmia, introducing a unified identity that reflects the company’s evolution, the reach of its global HCM platform and its growth ambitions across Canada, France and future international markets.

The name change does not represent the launch of a new platform. It reflects what the company has become since its founding: a technology partner specializing in complex HR environments for medium and large, multi-entity, regulated and unionized organizations.

“Our previous name represented an important part of our history, but it no longer reflected the full scope of the company we have become,” said Patrice Poirier, Founder and President of Sigmia. “We needed one identity that will represent us in our established markets and in the international markets where our ambition will take us.”

The Sigmia name gives the company one identity across all markets, replacing the need to alternate between “RH” and “HR.” The “i” in Sigmia reflects five dimensions of the company’s evolution: intelligence, integration, innovation, impact and international ambition.

A global platform for organizations that manage complexity.

Sigmia provides a global HCM platform that helps organizations structure workforce data, business rules and HR processes, making operations clearer, more reliable and easier to govern.

In Canada, the platform covers HR and payroll. In France, Sigmia provides a global HRIS solution covering the various dimensions of HR management. It integrates with a broad ecosystem of third-party technologies, including payroll and finance systems. Sigmia does not sell a payroll solution in France.

The platform includes five complementary suites:

  • Administrative Management
  • Time, Activities and Workforce Planning
  • Talent Management
  • Health and Safety
  • Labour and Employee Relations

These capabilities operate within an integrated environment and can be configured according to each organization’s rules and structures. This reflects Sigmia’s established positioning as an HR and payroll platform in Canada and a global HR platform in France.

Sigmia’s differentiators include broad functional coverage, expertise in regulated and unionized environments, integration capabilities, local governance and a strong focus on data sovereignty.

Artificial intelligence is integrated into selected processes to help teams structure information, reduce repetitive work and support decision-making. It is designed to remain private, secure, governed and contextualized without replacing human expertise or judgment.

The next stage of growth

The introduction of the Sigmia brand supports an ambitious five-year growth plan. The company intends to strengthen its position in Quebec, accelerate its development across the rest of Canada and France, and progressively expand into additional international markets.

Growth will be supported by the acquisition of strategic clients, broader adoption of the platform by existing clients and continued investment in sales, marketing, product and service teams.

Sigmia is also introducing a new website presenting its brand, platform, suites and approach to artificial intelligence. Check out the website at www.sigmia.com.

“Our teams, our expertise, our proximity to clients and our long-term commitments remain unchanged,” Poirier said. “Sigmia represents everything we have built, but more importantly, it represents what comes next: a broader international presence, responsible innovation and greater ambition.”
